Artist Statement:

Personally powerful images of elegant finery, pop and fashion icons, European architecture and Baroque excess all compete for my attention.  These images pervade my work in the intricate patterns, rich textures, layers of carved lace and soft, sensuous forms.  I transform seemingly simple objects into lush, sensual memories of childhood, status and youthful rebellion.  I share secrets of coming of age and entomb conflict and disappointment beneath patterned and tiered surfaces.  The themes are universally personal.
