Biography

From the Streets to Galleries: The Mark of a Free Artist

Behind the alias Onemizer lies an artist who has made graffiti his language, canvas his playground, and freedom his driving force. Initially anonymous, his wild lettering marked the pavement before transitioning into galleries, never losing the raw energy that defines his signature style. Blending instinct with mastery, vandalism with the gallery, he cultivates contrasts and imposes his unique aesthetic.

From First Pencil Strokes to Spray Cans

Born in France in 1987, Onemizer discovered art in his childhood while in Africa. Fascinated by the works of an artist neighbor, he began exploring watercolor. After returning to France at the age of 11, he started painting, experimenting, and searching for his style—eventually diving into the world of graffiti during his teenage years. Walls, abandoned warehouses, and train tracks became his initial canvases. After obtaining his high school diploma, he pursued design school but soon stepped away, preferring unpaved areas over conformist academic structures. Graffiti fed his adrenaline, fostering shared experiences with friends and a sense of freedom. Everything changed in 2012 when he was offered an exhibition in a municipal room. Quickly noticed by galleries, Onemizer began showcasing his work, finding himself displayed alongside his idols (Banksy, Keith Haring, Jonone, etc.).

An Hybrid Style of Chaos and Precision

Onemizer epitomizes the collision of worlds. His canvases fuse graffiti—once viewed as a counter-culture—with precision rooted in the techniques of the great masters. He takes realism to its extreme... only to deconstruct it, playing with shadows, contrasts, and textures. Each piece is a dialogue between order and chaos, where tags disrupt figurative elements, and destruction becomes a form of creation.

A Defiant Freedom

Rejecting all labels, Onemizer paints what resonates with him, what provokes thought. He draws inspiration from both popular culture and art classics, as well as current events and nature, transforming every surface into a free expression wall where irony frequently resides. His approach? To obscure the lines, break the codes, and provoke. Using spray paint, brushes, airbrushes, and stencils, he mixes techniques and materials, layering and experimenting while maintaining the raw energy from his early days. Onemizer surprises, entertains, and questions.

Today, he creates in his studio near Paris, exhibiting in France and worldwide at prestigious galleries. Yet the essence remains unchanged: an unquenchable desire to paint. Balancing tradition and modernity, Onemizer establishes a free, striking, and audacious style—a true signature!

"The art of Onemizer, sometimes poetic, sometimes critical but always direct and uncompromising, disseminates messages and emotions."
